F60 Action Camera | Test Footage | 2018.09.09

Hey, everyone!

The SJCAM SJ4000 finally stopped working after about 3-4 years. It provided some decent quality video.

I jumped online to see what's available. Amazon sellers had a few 4K cameras but they were more than what I wanted to spend. Switched over to eBay and found a deal for this one. It's labeled as the F60 on the box. On the online listing it shows it shoots 4K at 15FPS and 2K at 30FPS. The 2K resolution was fine for me since I'm used to 1080P footage.

Well, upon receiving this camera and trying it out it appears it does shoot 4K at 30FPS. Technically the resolution is 3200 x 1800 but that's good enough for me.

So far the quality of the video is good. Not great but good to work with but what can one expect for the low price. I was able to find this one for about $21.99 with free shipping and from a U.S. seller. Got it in about three days.

Dell Latitude E6230 | Adding An Internal Bluetooth Module

Hey, everyone!

Bought a refurbished Dell Latitude E6230. It did NOT come with an internal Bluetooth module and I would like to use my Bluetooth mouse with it for when going on trips. I thought about getting an external USB Bluetooth dongle but I prefer not to have anything sticking out of the side of the laptop. That's how ports can get damaged.

Bought one off of eBay. It arrived, it didn't work. Bought another one and this is the one we'll be seeing in this video.

If you're expecting a quick tutorial then this may not be the video for you. It's a long one showing my experience of installing this component. Grab yourself a cup of coffee or drink of your choice and enjoy!

PUBG Highlight | Aiming Down Sights is for Suckers

Hey, everyone.

It's been a while. Been busy with work and home stuff for a bit. Playing some PUBG in some of the free time.

Here's a quick vid with eight players taken down without aiming down sights. I still have a bad habit of not using it but sometimes it works out when not used.

28 Cores of Bulls#!t - Intel's "5GHz" Parlor Trick

Interesting video from Gamers Nexus. If you're using Intel then would this be a reason to switch over to AMD? I've had my Intel Core i7-4790K for a few years and I am wanting to upgrade. I waited after Threadripper came out. Threadripper 2 was announced and with its specs it seems like a clear winner.

The $50 GPU Upgrade - Transforming an HTPC into a Gaming LAN Box

Hey, everyone!

Today we're upgrading the HTPC by adding an NVIDIA GTX 780 GPU. This will allow us to take this small box to LAN parties, or places where we can game on it. The card we're using is an EVGA GTX 780 SC 3GB card which was purchased on sale from EVGA's website. The cost was a ridiculous $49.99!

It will accompany the Intel Core i7-4770 system which up to this point we were using the intergated GPU to watch movies and shows.

System Specs:
Intel Core i7-4770
8GB DDR3 Corsair Vengeance RAM
240GB SSD from PNY (XLR8)
250GB HDD from Seagate

California Trip | May 2017 | Part 2

Hey, everyone!

Here's an edit of our first full day in California. This was back in May 2017 when we took a vacation out there. All the footage is from the dashcam.

We went through a lot of familiar areas from where I grew up. From the San Fernando Valley down to Los Angeles and up to Vasquez Rocks.

This video has also helped me get more practice on editing to music. It's not perfect and I'm still learning. Hope you all enjoy!

I was going to edit this on the Dell Latitude laptop (like the first video) but to make it easier (since I'm home) I edited this on my primary system.

First Budget Gaming Build of 2018

Hey, everyone!

Welcome to the First Budget Gaming Build of 2018! Last year we had fun building Xeonomorph which cost us just over $200. It rocked a Xeon 4C/8T processor, 8GB of RAM, and a GTX 970 SSC. Since then I've wanted to build another one. Starting around November we began to look for parts. At first it was going to be a custom built system but due to costs to performance ratio we went with another prebuilt system. The included power supply in the prebuilt system is enough to power the GPU.

System Specs:
Dell Optiplex 790
Intel Core i5-2400
8GB DDR3 1600MHz (running at 1333MHz per system limitations)
1TB Seagate HDD
EVGA GTX 1050 Ti SSC 4GB - https://amzn.to/2IavrCc
Windows 10

Benchmarks will be coming soon so stay tuned!

California Trip | May 2017 | Part 1

Hey, everyone!

Here's our trip to California from back in May 2017. We hope to go back there again this coming May but there may be some important items which may cancel the trip. We'll see.

Part 1 is the actual trip. I was able to reduce and edit the video from about 12 hours down to about 15 minutes. These dash cam files have been sitting on the laptop hard drive for a while...

Part 2 and possible future videos will also be dash cam footage with the possible addition of pictures of the trip.

This is also the first time editing a video on the used Dell Latitude workstation laptop. The laptop is a handful of years old but it's still going strong (especially with the addition of an SSD as the primary drive). Editing was done in Sony Vegas 13. Overall the experience was great. Everything went smoothly aside from Vegas crashing just one time. It did take about half hour to render the video. No real effects or filters were applied. It was basically the raw video with some titles appearing on screen from time to time. I may take the laptop apart to clean it out and re-apply the thermal compound on the CPU and GPU.

If you made it this far down then thank you! As for the video it was shot with the SJCAM SJ4000 action camera.

Brother's Budget Workstation Build | Welcome to 2018!

Hey, everyone!

We are now in 2018 and here is the first video. Sorry it took a while to upload some content. I guess this Winter made me feel like a bear in hibernation.

My brother has been using an Apple iMac from 2011 to work on his music. He asked me if I could help him build a budget workstation which would be more current. Something that would be more powerful. I was glad to take on the task, especially since we're family. Below are the following specs of this system. About half of the items I already had on hand and the other half was purchased (but some of that is used which helped keep the cost down).

System specs:
Intel Core i5-4590 Processor
8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3 Kingston HyperX Savage RAM
120GB HP M700 SSD http://amzn.to/2sv8WoN
2TB Hitachi HDD
ASRock B85M-ITX Motherboard
Rosewill Legacy V6-S Mini-ITX Cube Computer Case

PUBG - Flipping Your Car Can Kill

Hey, everyone. First time using the replay option in PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds (PUBG). It took me a few minutes to get the hang of it but it's pretty interesting and fun to use.

First I flipped my car by accident. Then I land right where there's someone waiting for me. I thought I was finished but surprisingly I survived.
