Flashback | The $hady LAN Party | June 8-9, 2002

Hey, everyone.

It's the 15th anniversary of The $hady LAN Party which took place in the summer of 2002. Why is it called "The $hady LAN Party"? It's because the organizer's online name was $hady. He was one of the leaders of our Counter-Strike gaming group. Why was the party held in Northern California? Well, that's where he resided.

It was a fun trip heading up north from Southern California with me, my best friend and brother Andrew, and another friend / member of the group who was named Sc0rched. We loaded the four door Honda Civic with our PC towers, CRT monitors, and accessories. It was a tight fit and a long drive.

It was a year after finishing college. We were young with not too many responsibilities in our lives. The event was a blast and a memory I'll never forget. Enjoy the video!

P.S. - I was rockin' an Intel Pentium III 733MHz CPU and a Guillemot/Hercules 3D Prophet II GTS 64 MB NVIDIA GeForce 2 GPU in my system.
