How To: Mount an FD Lens onto an M43 Adapter

I've seen a couple of video showing how to mount an FD lens onto an adapter which then goes on to a micro four thirds body, like the Panasonic or Olympus cameras. Recently I've been able to help someone online who was having some trouble mounting theirs. That's when I decided to make a quick video to see if it can help others. I love the look vintage lenses give video shot on newer cameras. It gives the video a more organic feel to it. The focal reducer can be found on eBay but there is one version sold on Amazon. The focal reducer would help in decreasing your focal length when mounting the lens onto the micro four thirds body.

The For Honor Benchmark Tool has arrived!

It's been a looong time since I've uploaded a game test on the other channel. For some reason these past couple of months I've felt a little... lazy. Maybe it's the weather. Like I'm a bear and it's some sort of a hibernation thing. Anyways, it's time to get my butt back in gear. For Honor was just released. Visually it looks stunning. How does it perform? Lets find out. First lets see how well it does on the Intel Pentium G3258 with five GPU's.

Benchmarking CPU's and GPU's. It's been a while. Will be going to bed soon, I promise!

*and I did fix the OSD, it's not running an R9 270 and an RX 480 in CrossFire, just the R9 270 in the pic*

Adventure at the ABQ BioPark Botanic Garden

This trip was planned at the beginning of the week (or somewhere around there). The weather was great. Not too hot, not too cold. It was just right. Strange knowing it's the middle of winter but that's how it goes out here. Sometimes the weather doesn't want to correspond to its season. Once we got there we started taking pictures. We also walked so much! Based on my Google Fit app it was almost two miles. It may not seem a lot to some but for me it's was quite tiring. It was great spending the day with the love of my life. I had not had anything to eat all day except for a large coffee so we stopped by the Standard Diner on Central. It was a lunch / dinner type meal. Their burger was excellent along with the fries. It was accompanied by a pomegranate margarita which did well (more tequila would've been nice). Our server saw my camera on the table and said he shoots with a Panasonic as well. We struck up a nice conversation on their cameras and why we love to shoot with them. After our meal we went to Talin Market to pick up a few things then headed over to my parents' house to drop them off. My mother wanted a bag of frozen yuca (cassava) and a few packages of frozen empanada dough. It's been a while since we've seen my parents and it was great talking to them. We did watch an episode of Master Chef Junior as well while we were there. The day ended with us returning back home and editing our pictures. Where shall we go on our next weekend adventure? Stay tuned...

The Very Large Array

Our first trip to the VLA (Very Large Array) in the Socorro County. It was a most excellent adventure. We will return one day just as those whom are beyond the stars will also return someday.

Equipment
- Panasonic Lumix G7
- Canon FD 24mm 1:2.8 S.S.C. Lens
- FD to M43 Focal Reducer Adapter
- K&F Concept 55mm SLIM UV CPL FLD ND2 ND4 ND8 Neutral Density Lens Filter Set
- Magnus VT-4000 Tripod

- Original music provided by Alex Talavera

Everything was shot in Cine D at 4K at 24p in MP4 format. Shutter was set to 50. Footage edited in Sony Vegas in a 1080p project with matching frame rate. A LUT from the Triune Films store was used (Gone Girl) and the contrast was given a slight bump up. A 2.35:1 aspect ratio crop was added then the final render. The file was compressed in Handbrake for web upload.

I need the exercise, she needs to release some energy. Fresh air. Let's go!
